Our Programs: Children, Adults, & Families

Taekwondo can be viewed like any other sport on the surface -- as one that requires physical activity and creates both an environment of competition and entertainment. However, Grandmaster Kang believes that Taekwondo establishes a foundation for life where core principals are developed through training that can be used beyond the gym floor. Few activities can generate the type of passion one feels when learning this Art.

Children's Programs:
Lil Cubs Club Program (ages 3-6 yrs old)
Tiger Club Program (ages 6-12 yrs old)

Although many parents initially get their children involved in Taekwondo as "just another activity to keep my kids busy", the true benefits reveal themselves over the course of the child's training.

Il~Do Taekwondo's program works hand-in-hand with a child's family, school, and social life, providing improved self-discipline, self-confidence, mental alertness, and goal-setting skills. Parents have attributed our program with improved grades as a direct result of the increased achievement motivation, self-direction, and self-confidence provided by the program.

It is important for children to learn to set short term, intermediate and long-term goals. At Il~Do Taekwondo every child's goal is Black Belt: a symbol of excellence in martial arts and an important tool for instructors and parents to use in developing desire and tenacity, and to teach the importance of follow-through in any activity.

Discipline, respect and focus are the consistent attributes developed by our students both young and old. Some of the most significant positives experienced through Taekwondo participation are within those from troubled backgrounds.

Repeatedly, troubled teens with a history of problems, come into our school and find positive change within themselves. Focus, productive energy and a development of leadership are just some of the benefits seen by these youths. And others. You don't need to be a troubled teen to reap the benefits.

Adult & Family Programs

Our adult and family programs are second to none. We give personalized attention and the respect and service you deserve so that you learn quickly and easily. Unlike, many peoples experience with health clubs, our students follow through, many to Black Belt, because the caring staff is there to motivate and encourage you along the way as your personal trainers.

Fitness with a purpose.

Martial Arts is a way of life, not a fad or trend that gets boring with time. Furthermore it is a personal commitment to a healthy lifestyle. Il-Do Taekwondo is also self-paced so you can feel comfortable with your progress and move at the speed that works best for you. Martial Arts is a great way to meet positive people, quickly lose excess fat, reduce stress, improve health and flexibility and most importantly have fun!
